My son has a dust mite allergy, and eczema, and has had real trouble with infected skin on his face. We have gotten on top of the infection, but his skin still breaks out from time to time. I started looking at anti-allergy pillows and read reviews about this pillow. I went for the firm one, as it seemed the medium was too thin. My son absolutely loves it. He says it is so comfy. With this I also bought pillow protectors, and I feel secure that my son's skin will be 'safe' over night. I received my order within 3 working days. I am very happy with Allersafe, and will definitely use them again!

Delighted with this pillow. It's just the right thickness and very comfortable indeed. An added bonus is that it doesn't make my head hot! Can't really comment on how it has affected the sniffles because I do have a feather and down duvet as I can't afford a new one yet. 10 out of 10 for comfort though.

The pillow is comfortable and I can breath better since I've been using it. I chose the medium one, but maybe is too soft for me. I bought only one jsut to try, but I'm going to buy the firm one as I think I would like it more, but apart from that I'm very satisfied with it. Delivery was fast too. I would recommend it.

The filling is rather thin but the case material is very thick, an odd combination! Not tried washing it yet so cant say how it will wash, the label says it can only be washed at 40 degrees i.e. not high enough to kill dust mites. I bought 3 of these in medium 'comfort' they are very comfortable and sprung back well, they are not as plump as some but I am very happy with them - I have a feeling they will retain their shape better than other plumper ones which I find soon go lumpy after washing. They are beautifuly finished with piping aorund the edges and a luxurious jacquard fabric outer.

I have had Allersafe pillows before. I ordered four more and these were completely different from the previous purchases I have made. These 'new' 'upgraded' pillows are poor in comparison. They are also so thin your head virtually touches the bed. 9th Nov, 2011

A very comfortable pillow, not quite as firm as I would have liked but it does the job & my neck pains have now subsided so it must be near to the right heaght. I have no more stuffed up nose either, those dust mites can't be seen but they sure can stuff you up, not with this pillow though. I rate this as one of my best buys & strongly reccomend this pillow to anyone who suffers nasal congestion. Thank you & well done.

Hello, What is the "healthy additive" inside the amicor pillows? is it a particular chemical? A reviewer mentioned that the pillows have to be washed at 40 degrees, 60 degrees being the temperature needed to kill dust mites. Is the lower temperature not a problem given that there shouldn't be any dustmites in the pillow anyway? Any further information would be useful. Thank you.

I would confirm the Allersafe product contains Amicor Pure Acrylic Fibre.  Amicor Pure creates an environment where dust mites cannot live so prevents the growth of dustmites within the fabric itself.

Allersafe Anti Allergy bedding can therefore be washed at 40oC. Normal bedding that doesn't contain anti allergy properties should be washed at 60oC in order to kill dust mites.

The Amicor effects will last for up to 200 washes.
