I bought this mattress encasement to tackle my 8 yr olds allergy to the dust mite and subsequent weasiness. It's difficult to measure it's effectiveness but I do feel she is less weasy in the mornings since using this product. I also bought the pillow encasement so I wouldn't attribute the improvemnt to just the mattress encasement but to all the measures taken. As far as the product itself it's a good quality item and was fairly easy to fit. I'm glad I made the investment. My daughter's mattress is smaller than a regular single mattress and the encasment is too big for it but I've just folded it over the sides. It hasn't compromised it's effectiveness and I figured this way I can transfer it to her next larger mattress.

My son gets hot at night, will it make him hotter?

 

The MicronOne Mattress encasement is made of Material – 100% Micro Denier Polyester.

This mattress encasement is breathable so should not cause your son to get hotter.

 

Can you tell me what dimensions this mattress encasement (single) is designed to fit? Also where does it zip? Is it at one end of the cover as it seems to appear in the photo?

This mattress protector is designed to fit a standard single bed, approximately 99cm x 191cm.  The zip is at one end only.

Could you tell me the washing temperature for the Healthy zzz MicronOne mattress protector?

This is machine washable at 40o.

I've heard some protectors are "rustly", is yours? What is maximum depth of mattress that can fit in this protector ? How long is it guaranteed to work? thanks in advance

 

The MicronOne is made of 100% Micro Denier Polyester. A normal pillowcase would be used over it. Although there may be some noise at first, it would soften with use.  The material does not rustle as polyproplene would.

Accommodates mattress depths up to 17".

This is an encasement barrier.  They are washable at 40degrees and will last according to normal wear and tear.

Hello, My king sized mattress is only about 20cm deep. Is this mattress protector (up to 43cm depth) too big?

Yes you may find that this protector is too big for your mattress. Most people who have a smaller mattress tuck the surplus material underneath.
